Used to love danish butter cookies, but brands like the BLUE TIN have become expensive and sometimes hard-to-buy, many suppliers and dealers do not carry these products on their shelves due to the high prices.
.......
.......
In place of these traditional products, are cookies that come in rounded tins that closely resemble the BLUE TIN, but the taste of the 'things' inside are far from what I used to experience.
.....
.....
It always is due to the ingredients that the new manufacturers use, the flour, the butter and so on.. .. .. .. so, no matter ho beautiful you copied the shape and packaging of the traditional product, we still call it a bluff.
....
....
....
So, here we are, homemade butter cookies. Making it at home means you can utilise the best quality raw materials and end up with products of high quality , albeit at a lower price.
still raw, simple roll and cut procedure.
wife call these shortbread, i do not know how to differentiate them, but to me, they taste more or less the same as butter cookies. wife says, shortbread is harder, gives you more bite. That's very true.
place them evenly before going into the oven...
....DONE.... .looks delicious, right?
....zoom in for greater detail..... have a bite..
