Malaysian politicians lead EVEN CHEAPER lifestyles Many people fail to identity the real reasons our politicians cannot manage this country properly hence turning Malaysia into a favorite hub for drug trafficking. Our BAdNotorious government members are profusely obssesses with acquiring money, money and money, that they have to take up parttime jobs despite already earning big fat salary packets plus lucrative perks from their governmental posts. Don't we notice that politicians love to engage in ribbon cutting ceremonies at business launches (and get paid in kind)? I remember while working with my previous employer, a PLC, one big fat women minister from the cabinet was invited to officiate a loan facility signing ceremony, and her PA even have the 'balls' to call up and remind us to get a 'momento' (gift) besides the agreed monetary packet to be presented to the minister at the function. She even told us what shop to go to, and which particular product to purchase as the momento. On another occasion, two men-in-suit came to our office and presented our bosses with a stack of letters which bore the signatures of the then PM TDM. The men were asking for our company to 'donate' at least $30k to support construction of billboards for the soon-to-be-held "98 Commonwealth games. Our bosses being stingy in making payment, sent me to converse with the two men, where I told them that we do not have surplus funds from our A&P budget. The two 'officers', on hearing my answer, insisted that their documents 'all have the signature of the PM' in a tone I reckon to be an intimidation, to which I responded:" You have to take my word that we do not have funds to dispense with, otherwise you bring along the PM in person to our office on your next trip, then my boss may be more willing to sign the cheque." The two men left with two black face, never to return again. This incident made me suspicious about whether there were more of such cases every now and then. I even began to doubt that maybe the PM himself KNEW or PLAY DUMB all the time. You see, that our politicians are so obssessed with earning extra income by cutting ribbons, they are literally using official time to play vice, while depriving local entertaining artistes money-making opportunities. In many other advanced countries, ribbon cutting activities are mainly done by celebrities like modeling and showbiz artistes, which is why they have artistes who earn billions of dollars during their fame. Our local artistes are not so lucky, their opportunities all taken up by 'hard-up' politicians, and this explains why local artistes (especially the females) have to sell sex to rich and loaded bigshots at a 5-star hotel (through a syndicate). Maybe many people forgot about the news years ago. So you see, not only the big shot politicians are 'hard-up' for maney, showbiz artistes also find it difficult to keep up with the Joneses, or lead a 'proper' celebrity lifestyle, forcing them to earn money the natural way. Now, since every Malaysian has to spruce up at least some glamour in their lives, nobody wants to do proper work, plus the fact that all cheap labour positions taken up by foreigners, locals resort to stealing, robbing and drug trafficking. With the cabinet decision to do away our 'death sentence penalty for drug trafficking', I foresee that drug traffickers can get bolder in their future operations. And most certainly many new generations would be more readily to get into the action.
