Shameful national language

Here we hear and read about the government urging us to take pride in using the Bahasa Malaysia, promoting it as our No. 1 official language. while addition of foreign words into the language is acceptable to a certain extent in view of ever-advancing fields of interests, some practices here are notable hypocritical with regard to governmental efforts. We are now moving into an era where we do not feel glamour to adapt words and names that is Malaysians by origin. DON"T YOU SEE THAT RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS ARE MOSTLY ADAPTING NAMES LIKE "WESTMINSTERSHIRE", "YORKSHIRE", "AVENUE", "VILLA", AND SUCH TO "MAKE THEIR PRODUCTS LOOK MORE UPLEVEL"? It seems products and services carrying names by origin of Malaysian flavour , aren't going to fetch any high price nor do they convey any status of glamour, which speaks so much of why the national language is NEVER going to achieve its 'expected' status of a 'proud' language for the nation. I do not see Englishmen using names like Jalan, Istana, Mahkota, Perdana for their products, BUT we Malaysiana are so bent and obssessed with names from the western world. So, HOW in the world do we make our national language look 'acceptable' when most Malaysians are poisoned with all things western? Even the Businessmen and developers here DON'T believe that their developments could fetch high value (or even marketable), SO HOW do we expect the future generations to believe that learning the Bahasa Malaysia national language HAS A FUTURE?
