Malaysian police and home security in a shame

Our 'beloved' Bad Notorious federal government is at it once more. They have finally decided to do something about the 'Malaysia is a dangerous place' scenario. That the home minister is announcing such that shopping complexes security personnel are to undergo police training, is irony that they are admitting to the 'uselessness' of the public safety authorities here. Babaric crimes and blatant killing of the general public has been around for too long a time ,that people dare not walk in the streets and stay indoors. Then, the federal government did not do anything, and now that they are coming up with such 'stupid' measures is underlining the fact, that the federal government doesn't care much about the general public. It is only when violence gets into the complexes and shows up bad upon the safety inside commercial premises, causing imminent loses to the businessmen, that the federal government finally move their butts a bit. BUT I feel the recent measures of requiring security guards to go for police training doesn't nib the problem in the bud. It is merely telling us that the police are all too lazy and nowhere to be found when they were most needed. Moreover, security guards are also mostly made up of foregn cheap labour, I wouldn't expect then to be able to do anything at all when criminal violence occur. How about the integrity of the guards themselves? Would any of them be susceptible of becoming a conspiring partner of the criminals? After all, many crimes involved insiders abetting.
