以前戰國時代的古老中國，曾經有很多忠貞為國的英雄，不過往往都是因為做皇帝的沒有把最高權力交給 "最能幹最忠心的"，反而安排了曉得花言巧語的奸臣來制裁 "忠臣"，所以落得皇朝滅亡的下場。華人有 "富不過三代"的魔咒纏身，並非出于偶然。曆史見證許多古時的名門望族，豪門集團，往往因為甯願把掌陀的位置交給最得寵的人選，而不是交給最有本事的人選，所以都沒有本事世世代代傳承下來。松下集團所以能夠百年不倒，完全基于創辦人松下幸之助的一個條件，就是：就算他自己的兒子如何本事如何有能力，也要等到最少 38歲，超過75巴仙的股東贊同，才能夠出任總裁一職。可口可樂所以能夠成為全球 500 大企業的第4名，也是因為他們的總裁一職，從來就是 "有能者居之"，而不是某某股份最多的股東的兒子來當。蘋果機構曾經于Macintosh Classic 生產之時，把Steve Jobs 炒了離開公司，原因是他出言頂撞某某股東的兒子，當時Steve還是一位銷售員。而後來其他大部分的股東決意把他重新納入蘋果，也就再次證明了"能者"是比"得寵者"有用的。同樣地，大馬聯邦政府甯可把一群"聽話的得寵者"放在國家導航的位置上，而不讓"能者"來領航，就注定把我國的未來倒進"鹹水海"了。馬來西亞死定了。
