I stopped dining at KFC 22 years ago

I watched with admiration the ruckus caused in a Kay-Ef-See restaurant. The video was uploaded to youtube and the whole episode amazed me.
How in the world we Malaysians can droop so low as to queue a hour long just for a plate of FAST food? And then get scolded with harsh words, what more to return to the same place later to get bashed?

This K-F-C thing, I admit that their fried chicken tasted like heaven some 30 years ago. Yet after the local conglomerate group that holds the K-F-C franchise started their very own poultry farm for their chicken supplies, the meat texture of chicken offered by these restaurant franchise outlets degraded to a level where I stopped patronising them 22 years ago. Even the 11 herbs advertised by their Colonel sanders advertisement was no longer there.
In fact, the bun that came with a dinner plate was the first item to be shartchanged in terms of quality.
next, I almost cursed the K-F-C franchise owners when I found they put in more cabbage stalks than leaves into their coleslaw. Not only that, their salad have carrot and potato dices that were over frozen and expired shelf life. When fresh, the salad gave a crunchy bite. Those third party industry- standard salad dices were soft and dehydrated.

These all add up to the reasons I stopped dining at Kay-eF-See.
There is also one more thing at K-F-C that I hate most. I remember receiving some emails about a Titiwangsa politician who boasted he didn't rely on Chinese and Indian votes. and This caused many Malaysians to boycott the drinks produced by the Permanis company(Where he held shares). Now, didn't these people who patronise K-F-C knew that the chicken franchise served soft drinks from this company? Why bother to patronise such a restaurant and GET bashed?

Scratch my head.

  1. My point the same Woody San. What kind of cheap skate scum bags would line up for an hour for free chicken?

    2. Oh yes, and the best thing about local Malaysian franchisees of KFC and other American brands, they all employ the cheapest labour from Indonesia (some may also come from remote parts of Kalimantan and Sulawesi , or Papua New Guinea) in the name of making more MONEY, MONEY, AND MORE MONEY.God know what type of morals those cheap labourers hold dearly in their lives, maybe bashing someone up to them is an everyday NORMAL CHORE?
