A Father always have his priorities over his sons. His time is always more important than his sons' time. His one second can be used to do more things than his sons'.
BUT, more often than not, whenever he turns his head away for one second, the sons would have been naughty a dozen times.
A company boss likewise have more priorities over his employers. His one second obviously would be more precious than his employees'.
AGAIN, whenever the boss took his eyes of his employees for one second, they would all have done numerous deeds (good and bad ones) which the boss would have a hard time keeping track of.
A country leader, by the same tune, have tremendous influence over his subordinates, more so when compared to the citizens of his country. That is why, he need to rush between places, convoys are needed to help pave his way, so that his travelling 'seconds' could be put to better use; like having meetings (HUH?). He need to stretch his time, so that he could achieve more on every second spent.
So you see, whenever he turns his head away for one second, it would mean that his subordinates could do whatever tricks they like, without the leader knowing. Well, even when he gets to know eventually, there won't be much the leader could do, because RESULTS (good or bad) would already be permanent. The most he could do, is to 'reprimand' the perpetrators, BUT he won't. (There are MORE important issues on his mind).
HENCE, when the super mighty GOD turns his head away for one second, he won't be able to do anything that happens on this miserable Earth for that period. IF 1-God-second may translate into 10-Earth-years, a lot of suffering could just go by without HIS knowing. Imagine some earthlings that walk on this Earth for less than 10 years.
