i do not know this lady very well. It's a story i heard from some old folks.
She was in her mid 40s. she has been bringing happiness and warmth to a lot of old folks, especially during the festive seasons. Every year she would spend about RM1000 in raw materials to prepare cookies/ snacks/ delicacies and distribute the festive cheers to the old folks home, and personally hand over a cannister of her homemade snacks to each and every soul there.
Until one fine day, she did not turn up to do the usual festive rounds. The old folks were curious as to her whereabouts, the snacks were nowhere to be seen. Later would the old folks learn that she was involved in a road accident, was sent to a hospital, left unattended for 2 hours and certified due to serious internal bleeding.
It was later known that her car was hit head on by a 4wd machine from the opposite direction (which jumped the divider and landed on top of her car), and she hit her chest onto the steering wheel upon impact.
So, everyone knows She was taken 'to be by the Lord' and gone forever from this earth. Which leaves every listener deep in tears. Although i do not know if there is any God, i want to think THERE IS. I couldn't clear the lump in my throat on hearing that.
Would you want to believe there's going to be happiness in the unknown, when you keep witnessing the never-ending sufferings with your own eyes?
Yes, i've heard of that word: 'RESURRECTION'.
If you can't be happy now, how to be happy in future (or rather, afterlife/death)?.
There is so much that we mortal beings COULD NOT DO. and i also think that God is equally 'short-handed'. (like our political leaders who are 'playing god' to the rakyat).
(like the boy next door, who constantly 'play god' to his pet fishes in his big aquarium. he too, is very short-handed and lazy enough to allow the aquarium to grow moss, get dirty, polluted and such. when the fishes die, he just scoops the rotten out and buys some new ones).
God, himself sometimes 'play god' by throwing the dice and 'POW', 120 thousand lives perish in Banda Aceh.
Do we brand these GAMERS as Selfish?
